Acupuncture for Children
As parents, we understand the importance of seeking out natural, non-invasive treatments for kids. We offer discounted rates for children so that acupuncture can be an affordable part of every family's health maintenance plan.
During the first appointment your child will be gently introduced to acupuncture. You and your child will have the opportunity to ask questions and see the tools and accessories that are commonly used during a treatment. If and when your child is willing, small pediatric needles can be inserted. Even the most needle-phobic child will generally overcome their fears during this gentle introduction to acupuncture. In cases where the child is still uncomfortable with the use of needles, alternative treatment options (acupressure, dietary consultation, etc) will be discussed.
The initial intake exam is about 60 minutes long. Subsequent treatments last 20 to 30 minutes. The fee for treatments for children under 18 is $30 per session.
