I occasionally get prospective patients who wonder, due to my low fees, if I practice community-style acupuncture. Community-style acupuncture involves treating multiple patients at a time in one room. These treatments are generally done sitting in recliners with points on the arms and legs only, and tend to be more moderately priced than your “typical” acupuncture treatment. While effective for some patients, this style of acupuncture is not as in-depth and is usually less beneficial than individual one-on-one sessions.
I prefer to see patients individually. In doing so, I am able to employ detailed medical history assessments which allow me to tailor the best treatment plan for you. My patients lie on massage tables, allowing me access to acupuncture points on the back, hips, abdomen, chest, and thighs. Once needles have been inserted, my patients enjoy a private and uninterrupted 20-25 minute treatment with relaxing music. It really is an experience for the body, mind, and soul, which is the very definition of holistic medicine.
