We are a family-run acupuncture practice in Chicago's northwest suburbs. All of our acupuncturists are licensed and board certified in acupuncture, and have years of experience in treating a variety of conditions.

Michael Sassack, Licensed Acupuncturist
Michael first became interested in holistic health while studying medicine in China. When visiting rural communities that utilize acupuncture in everyday medicine, he observed first-hand its astounding effects on pain management and general well-being. Mr. Sassack holds an undergrad degree from Kalamazoo College in biology, and a Master's degree from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago where he studied acupuncture. Michael's specialties are muscle and joint pain, asthma, and seasonal allergies. Michael is married to business manager Jasmine Sassack. |

Shannan Walker, Licensed Acupuncturist
Shannan is a nationally board certified acupuncturist and herbalist. She holds her Diplomat of Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She also attended Xavier University in New Orleans, and University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she earned a degree in marketing. In addition to practicing acupuncture, Ms. Walker also facilitates health workshops for local businesses and the Chicago Public Schools. Shannan's treatment style places a strong emphasis on the mind-body connection. |

Kyle Walsh, Licensed Acupuncturist
Kyle is a state and national board certified acupuncturist. He is also a Chen Tai Ji disciple/ instructor. Prior to studying acupuncture at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, Mr. Walsh earned a degree in psychology and then worked for many years in a social services capacity developing an empathetic treatment approach. Kyle manifests his motto that effective acupuncture treatments should be as pain free as possible by way of a gentle technique. Mr. Walsh is very into delighting in nature and consuming large amounts of vegan fast food, proving that nobody is perfect. |

Jasmine Sassack, Business Manager
Jasmine helps run the day-to-day operations at Sassack Family Acupuncture. She has a professional background in H.R., nonprofit program management, and professional speaking and writing. She is married to Michael, and together they are proud parents and even prouder foster parents. In between balancing books for Sassack Family Acpuncture, Jasmine can be found making her famous peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for however many children she is currently parenting. |
